Malicious applications ridden adware Trojan that (categorized in three families with the name Shedun, Shuanet, and ShiftyBug) had been able to install himself as the application system, the highest level normally reserved for operating system-level processing alone.
"For those who have contracted Shedun, Shuanet, and ShiftyBug, should they buy a new phone only," wrote the researchers from the Android security firm Lookout in a blog post.
"Adware is to root the device and install itself as a system, it is almost difficult to be removed, people have to buy a new Smartphone if you want a Smartphone of its normal work," he added.
As for who made the adware in addition to display ads, they can also read the safety lock mechanism on Android smart phones because of its status as a system.
